Corrections

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This page explains what we treat as an error, how to report one, and what happens after you do. It sits alongside our editorial policy, which covers how we source claims in the first place.

What counts as an error

Factual error
A claim about how a bonus mechanic works that is simply wrong.
Stale figure
A number or term that was right when we published it and has since changed.
Broken link
A link that no longer resolves, or that points somewhere other than where we said it would.
Misread term
Where we’ve described an operator’s term incorrectly, or read a wagering condition the wrong way round.

How to report one

Use the email address on our contact page. Tell us which article, which claim, and what you think it should say. If you have a source, include it. If you’ve already written once and heard nothing back, the unresolved concerns page is the next step.

We acknowledge every correction report within a few working days, and that acknowledgement is a real reply from a person who has read what you sent, not an automated receipt that leaves you wondering whether anyone saw it at all.

What happens next

  1. We check the claim against the article and against whatever source we can find.
  2. If we agree it’s wrong or out of date, we fix the text.
  3. We add a dated note to the piece saying what changed and when.
  4. If the change alters a conclusion the article drew, we flag that at the top of the piece so a returning reader sees it before the body text.

What we won’t do

We don’t remove a correction quietly. A piece that was wrong stays visible with the fix noted, because a silent edit leaves the next reader with no way to tell whether the page changed. If you’re struggling with your gambling, support is available through ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600), the Responsible Gambling Council Canada, or Gambling Therapy.
